Well, it's true!!! We finally left the ranks of renters and have purchased some
land near Murphys on which we have built a home. 3.69 acres, of which approx. 1/4
is cleared and gives a nice grassy meadow appearance. Good bye to the crazy winters
there at "Glacier Circle" in Arnold, we now are at the 3000 ft. elevation
below most of the snows.
Already seen these??? Well, go straight to the next
page... you can always back up to check out the the photos on this page
I've put a few photos here to let you all see what the "Ponderosa" looked
like when we purchased it, the following page shows delivery days of the modular
sections. Enjoy them.

So here's the view as you come up the driveway, the property begins just past
the tree with the sign on it.... the house will be just to the left past the edge
of the picture. |
 |
Now you've topped the rise and are looking somewhat south east at part of the
cleared area. The building pad is on the right, to the left is a dirt road that circles
around the perimeter. Note the forest above, there should never be any homes behind
us as the land is owned by Forest Meadows and is used for their Equestrian Center
and maintenance area. The garden will be in the center behind the two small cedar
trees |
 |
Here you are standing at the south end of where the home will be, looking back
at the entrance. The tall tree in the far center is the one that had the sign on
it in the first picture. Behind you is a small creek bed that is fed by a spring
up near the top of the ridge. We plan on tapping into that spring to use for irrigating
the garden and meadow which we hope will stay green all year. |
 |
This is the northwest view looking down over the cleared area. The house
will be in the center left. Hard to believe the highway is less than a 1/4 mile away,
you can't even see it! After about 15 minutes you don't even notice the sound of
cars and trucks passing. The creek bed is to the left of the picture, and the spring
is still farther up and behind you. We plan on putting the garden here in the foreground
area, and the living room windows will look out up towards it. |
