Club News

  • JOSIE COULTER REPORTED THAT A COUPLE OF GUYS SHOWED UP AT THE FIELD NOV. 15 IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AND SAID A CLUB MEMBER HAD TOLD THEM THEY COULD FLY THERE. THE RULES ARE THAT GUESTS MUST BE  WITH A MEMBER. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANYONE  TO THE FIELD ALONE.  THE FIELD IS THE COULTER'S PRIVATE PROPERTY AND WE SHOULD RESPECT THE RULES BY WHICH THE CLUB IS ALLOWED TO FLY THERE.

  • Regular Flying Days at Coulter Field are Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Remember, no engine noise before 9AM and no flying over neighboring properties. Guests are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a club member and follow the rules. Coulter Field is private property and full courtesy to the owners is expected. PLEASE PICK UP ALL YOUR TRASH AND TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU.

  • Club Membership forms It was decided that each member must fill out a new application. Anyone whose dues are not paid by the February meeting each year will be dropped from the roster and will not be eligible to fly at Coulter Field until dues plus an application fee are paid. All members must have an AMA number to join.  If you have not filled out one of the new membership forms e-mail the club president to have one sent.

  • Ryan Williams solos   One of our previous junior members had his 16th birthday July 17 and celebrated by soloing at Columbia Airport. Ryan became interested in aviation while attending Avery Middle School when the RC Flyers helped the after school program by  teaching the kids how to build and fly model planes.
