Also... check out Salter Street's Press Release Archive.

Note, the use of "second Lexx series" indicates the first season of 20 hour long episodes, while "first series"
(or more commonly "movies") indicates the first 4 pilot movies, either shown in 4x2 hour or 8x1 hour sections.

[10/8/2001]

    [9/21/2001]
  • Sci-Fi US have decided to pre-empt Lexx 4.10 "Magic Baby" at the last minute, to bring the telethon America: A Tribute To Heroes. 4.10 will apparently be aired on Sep 28th. NOTE: Only one of the three timeslots on (Sep 21) is being preempted, the other two (Fri@1am and Sun@1am) will be a repeat of 2.18 Brigadoom.
  • This episode, 4.10, will be the last new episode of Lexx to air in the US until early 2002. This is not because of the pre-emption, but is basic US broadcasting policy. You may recall a very long delay in the middle of Series 3 of Lexx in the US. They had had repeats scheduled for October and November (on the 1am Sunday timeslot only) for months and only this week announced the same for December.
  • Canada's Space: The Imagination Station will apparently continue its uninterrupted Series 4 schedule, airing 4.8-4.12 in October and 4.13-4.16 in November.

    [9/5/2001]
  • Lexx props on Ebay! "The producers of LEXX have authorized the auction of selected props and costumes from all seasons of Lexx on Ebay over the next months. I want to make sure all our fans get a heads-up before the great unwashed get into the fray. The seller's id is "figdress" and he is 100% legit. Proceeds from the auctions will be coming straight back to the production. We will also be donating some items to Nigel Bennett's charity auctions and you'll hear about those later. Figdress will ship anywhere in the world, so you UK-and-beyond fans won't be left out." Figdress on Ebay

  • Some (very few) copies of the new Lexx Soundtrack CD, from GNP Crescendo, were accidentally misprints and contained audio for "Petula Clark: Live at the Royal Albert Hall" (GNPD2069). If you got such a copy (11 tracks instead of 28), please email Ford A. Thaxton at GNP Crescendo Records: Fordat1@aol.com

    [10/18/2000]
  • Sci-Fi US will be getting a Western feed on October 23rd. This is common when basic cable channels in the US become sufficiently popular, they broadcast on the West coast with a 3 hour delay. This means that if you are in the PST or MST timezones (and maybe Hawaii) and use cable, your Sci-Fi and Lexx viewing scheduel might suddenly and rudely be shoved back 3 hours. more info.
  • Contender Video (UK: PAL) has just released the next 2 episodes of Lexx series 3, and will release the last set in mid December.

    [10/1/2000]
  • GNP CRESCNEDO RECORDS will apparently be releasing a new Lexx soundtrack for Series 2 and 3 in late November, 2000.

    [9/19/2000]
  • Unconfirmed: Series 4 starts shooting January 2001. Nigel Bennett and Michael McManus are unconfirmedly confirmed for Series 4 (very unlikely that Xenia and Brian would be left out, but who knows)...
  • Correction to newsitem dated [9/9/2000]: Sweden's TV4 will be repeating Series 1 and 2 starting September 17th, 2000, at about 1:15am (technically the 18th, Sunday night/Monday morning). Following their last pattern, this should last for 28 weeks.

  • Lexx has started in France on Canal+ on July 4th.
  • Channel 5 (UK) is apparently going to repeat Series 2 later this year than expected (due to a new law preventing as many 'reruns'), probably pushing back the Series 3 premiere on terrestrial TV until next year.
  • August 7th: Contender Video (UK: Pal) has released the first 2 tapes (5 episodes) of Lexx series 3. More to come in mid October.
  • August 29th: Koch International has released the first 4 Lexx episodes on DVD! It is either Region 1 encoded or not region encoded at all (so videoflicks.com says). See my Lexx video page at http://www.goldrush.com/~herd/lexx/vid.html for more info. Addendum! Koch says that Series 2 will be released around Jan-Feb 2001, and Series 3 in the summer of 2001!
  • Sci-Fi US aired the Lexx movies on August 7th-10th. They premiered Series 3 on August 18th, and are showing the episodes in order thus far (3.1 3.2).

    [6/12/2000]
  • Channel 5 (UK) will probably start Series 3 soon. Keep checking those listings, as they only scheduel up to 2 weeks in advance and Lexx is not yet in that time frame.

    [6/7/2000]
  • The US Sci-Fi Channel will show the last 8 episodes of Series 2 starting June 16th, 2000 and ending August 11th, 2000. Leading up to 2.20 they will show the 4 original Lexx movies (or 'Tales from a Parallel Universe') August 7th-10th at 9pm EST and Midnight.

    [5/17/2000]

    [4/24/2000]
  • Sci-Fi US to air Lexx movies! "SCI FI has bought the rights to Tales from a Parallel Universe, the four feature-length SF films that were the basis of the SCI FI series Lexx. SCI FI will air the four films nightly from August 7 to 10, leading up to the first-season finale of Lexx on August 11 at 10 p.m. ET." http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/art-main.html?2000-04/24/12.10.sfc

    [4/20/2000]
  • You might notice the new banner at the top of this page and several others. Series 4 of Lexx really needs support from the Sci-Fi US channel to proceed, so we've started a letter writing campaign. 2 days after we put it up we got a quote from SpaceCast Canada: "If you can, please tell LEXX fans not to send letters at all to us (SPACE)... we've already decided to support the series and have already renewed our financial commitment to Season IV! We are big fans of LEXX, and the creative engine behind the show, and we're in until they can no longer continue." So, stop writing to space and back to writing to SciFi US :)
  • CANAL+ (France) will be airing Lexx during the summer 2000 season.

    [4/17/2000]
  • NRK2 (Norway) apparently is now showing the Lexx movies split into 8 parts, started on Sunday April 16th, 2000.
  • The Sci-Fi Channel's Lexx Chain Reaction Voting Booth has now removed the unviewed episodes (2.9 2.12 2.14 2.15 2.17 2.18 2.19 2.20). Perhaps they thought no one would vote for them since no one had seen them, but apparently too many people wanted new episodes. If anything this should be an indication of the strength of the audience.

    [4/14/2000]
  • SciFiUS: You can now vote (before May 1st) for the 4 episodes to air on the 4-hour Lexx Chain Reaction on May 7th, 2000 (7pm EST, 4pm PST). http://www.scifi.com/lexx/chainreaction/. I recommend voting for 2.9 2.12 2.14 2.15 as these would then fill the blanks left by SciFi in their mad ordering.
  • SciFiUS also has the May Lexx episode titles and June dates up. One week in each month will be preempted for Scinema events, and May seems to be a month of repeats.
  • If you are upset at Sci-Fi US censoring Lexx series 2 (or are curious to see what has been censored) there is a new site with MPEG video clips of the missing scenes. It appears to be adding new eps every few weeks (as they air?): http://members.xoom.com/tfapu/.

    [4/6/2000]
  • Sci-Fi UK plans to repeat all 3 Lexx series starting (?) June 5th, 2000. Either on a 41 week scheduel (8+20+13), or maybe 4 or 5 times a week (?).
  • The official Lexx page has put up a Series 3 sneek peek quicktime.
  • Salter Street will apparently soon decide the fate of a possible Lexx Series 4.

    [3/31/2000]

  • Canada's Space channel will start Lexx Series 3 on April 10th, 2000 at 9pmEST (6pmPST). They also have a New Lexx Page, and the April listings are up. There are no repeats during the week, which many feel is bad (especially since its on at 6pm in PST)... perhaps viewers should let Spacecast space@spacecast.com know that there should be a Friday or weekend repeat!

    [3/26/2000]
  • Skywatch (New Zealand) apparently lists Lexx series 3 as starting on Sky1 on April 21st there. Unknown if/when TV4 plans to air it, but they have purchased it.
  • Lexx series 3 apparently started on the Sci-Fi Channel in South Africa on March 19th, 2000 with 3.1 'Fire and Water'. Airs Sunday at 10pm with repeats Wednesday at 8pm.

  • Nigel Bennett's official website http://www.blackhatstation.com will feature a Lexx section to go online April 1, 2000.

    [3/15/2000]
  • Sci-Fi US's current April scheduel showing eps: 2.5 2.13 2.6 2.11 (repeat). Also for the preliminary May scheduel they have a 4 hour Lexx Chain Reaction listed on May 7th at 7pmEST.
  • Also, Sci-Fi US recently purchased Lexx series 3! Press Release

    [3/1/2000]
  • "Xenia will be appearing in the April/May UK edition of Maxim, and then in the May US Maxim. Good exposure for her - she will be Xenia, not Xev - and good exposure for the show, as it will have to be mentioned."
  • Sci-Fi US still has Mantrid schedueled for March 17th, 2000, so hopefully they will go through with it this time!
  • Sadgeezer, aka Tony, has valiantly been putting up Series 3 episode summaries complete with pics and audio clips within 2 days of them airing in the UK at SadGeezer's Guide to Lexx. Note: quite a lot of spoilers.

    [2/14/2000]
  • DVD News (Region 1): Salter Street recently made a Press Release stating that they had sold all 3 series to SciFi Japan, and also that they had sold the Canadian video and DVD rights to KOCH, the world's fourth largest independent music comany. Upon contacting them for info, they stated: "DVD releases will probably hit end August or early September [2000?]."
  • No, I do not know when Channel 5 UK will start Lexx Series 3. Rumors abound about possible Series 2 repeats and whatnot, but they say they have no firm schedueling more than 2 weeks in advance.
  • Space (Canada) says Series 3 will start on April 10th, 2000, in the regular timeslot.
  • Sci-Fi US apparently preempted a repeat of Lexx on Sunday, February 13th, 2000 at the last minute for an episode of Prey... are they regretting buying Lexx?

    [2/7/2000]
  • The schedueled SciFiUK 'post-series-3-premiere' chat with the Lexx writers had some problems, the software for the UK site stopped working and the IRCserver it was hosted on could barely handle the load. However, they said they'd be posting the log on their site uk.scifi.com in the next few days. ALSO: SciFiUK mentioend that they will try to rescheduel the chat when their software is working again... keep an eye on their page.
  • The US SciFi channel might FINALLY be showing the first 3 episodes of Series 2 (in March of 2000), after 2 months of stupid episodes and repeats of those episodes. They have 2.1 Mantrid schedueled for March 17th, 2000 at 10pmEST. www.scifi.com
  • The Movie Channel (TMC, a US cable channel, the one that first aired Lexx in the US) will be showing Eating Pattern 3 times in March of 2000: Once on March 7, and twice on March 20th. www.showtimeonline.com

    [2/2/2000]
  • The Lexx Archive is back with a new address http://pages.infinit.net/dodo/lexx/. Wallpapers, Mp3 (complete Brigadoom archive!), Desktop Theme, and Screensaver.
  • Salter has just added 3 Lexx posters to their online store, that will be available February 15th. http://www.salter.com/shop/shopindex.html

    [1/25/2000]
  • The US Sci-Fi channel will be showing "Tammy and the T-Rex", February 4th, 2000 at 1pmEST. A very strange movie with Ellen Dubin (Giggerota the Wicked, from Lexx episodes 1.1 and 1.2).
  • Quote from Salter Merchandising: "Our site is secure and all funds are Canadian. You can tell everyone that NEW posters for all 3 characters will be on the site by next week." http://www.salter.com/shop/shopindex.html
  • Lexx series 3 premieres in the UK Sci-Fi Channel on Feb 6th, and probably around April in Canada on Space.

    [1/22/2000]
  • Sweden's TV4 will start airing Lexx on February 4th (Friday night/Saturday Morning), 2000 at 01:20am. From descriptions at TV4's programming page (search for 'Lexx'), it seems to be the first half of "I Worship His Shadow".
  • UNCONFIRMED: It may be possible for North American fans to order Lexx series 1 and 2 Videos (up to 2.8) from a UK based online video store called Black Star. It is said they will do PAL-->NTSC conversions for a modest ~$26/tape (plus the cost of the tape, ~$20). See my Video info page for details (near the bottom, UK section).

    [1/14/2000]
  • Finland's new cable channel TVTV (MTV3) may start showing Lexx, starting with the first half of "I Worship His Shadow" on February 2nd, 2000.
  • The US SciFi Channel is being very silly and showing the episodes out of order. They started with #11 Nook and got such a positive Xev response they will show #4 Luvliner next, as that is Xev's first full episode. They even seem to be planning #2.7 Love Grows for third. SciFi Channel: Get a clue!
  • Apparently, both SciFiUK and Channel-5 UK hope to start Lexx Series 3 airing in the first half of 2000. It is unclear if Canada's Space channel will premiere the series first like they claim to.
  • The Lexx online store seems to be slightly disfunctional. You can possibly use it by clicking the link from lexx.com, clicking Main, and clicking Lexx there.

    [12/22/1999]
  • Unconfirmed: "Season 3 begins [on the SciFi UK channel] on Sunday, 6th February at 10:00, with repeats on Thursdays at Midnight.".
  • [UK] Sky One will show Xenia's episode of "Total Recall 2070" on Wed Jan 26th at 21:00.

    [11/29/1999]
  • Just in from SFX: "SFX magazine the Uk's biggest selling sci fi magazine is giving away lexx signed postcards on the front cover of SFX. The postcards are exclusive to SFX and 50 signed cards will be hidden inside 50,000 issues. On sale Jan 21 2000!"
  • Brian Downey has been confirmed as the Media Guest for Keycon, Winnipeg's annual science-fiction convention, which runs from May 19th to the 21st, 2000. http://members.tripod.com/~keycon2000/.
  • The US Sci-Fi channel has started vaguely hinting at Lexx. I have thus far seen 2 brief ads in their "Sci2K me" spot (a 1-2 minute self-commercial occuring often in the long commercial break at about :45 past the hour). They say "I want to go to a cosmic freak show" and they show about 5 seconds of 791 or Luvliner clips.
  • Several Lexx fans, in cooperation with Salter Street Films, are starting an official Lexx fan club (currently based in the UK). For more information contact Emerald and Pat at: lexxfanclub@yahoo.com.
  • Xenia Seeberg's current management contact list is:

"...they say it's absolutely no problem to send any letters/ fan mail/ requests for autographs to Xenia at this address, and Xenia also said that anything we send there will be forwarded to her." (Pat)

    [11/01/1999]
  • Lexx Series 2 will debut on the US SciFi Channel on January 7th, 2000 at 10pm EST. See The SciFi Scheduel Guide for details (or lack thereof).
  • Canada: Space's website now says the following: "For those of you who are asking, Season 1 of LEXX gets an encore...starting Monday November 15 at 9pm ET. All 22 episodes in their dark glory. And for those of you flooding the Information Desk, yes, the new episodes are a-coming-watch for them in about...ah...23 weeks. Hokey Dokey?" http://www.spacecast.com/spaceflash/Nov99.html. Note: there are a few contradictions even in this statement, such as any series or season of lexx having 22 episodes. We assume they mean Series 2 repeats on November 15th, which followed Series 1 (aka the Pilot Movies). And then afterward comes Series 3? Also note, sometimes they refer to "Season 2" being Series 3 and "Season 1" being Series 2, since Series 1 was not a whole season. Confused yet? good! Basically, seems new eps will be about 5 months down the road!

    [10/28/1999]
  • Canada: Unclear whether Space will start Series 2 or Series 3 in November 1999, but most likely it will be Series 2 (following the end of Series 1 repeats)

  • Sci-Fi UK will repeat the Lexx movies, starting August 5th, 1999 (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th), at 22:00. These are the whole movies and not split in half. They might repeat Series 2 right after (?).

  • "UK Lexxians might like to know that Xenia, MM and BD will be at the Forbidden Planet Store on New Oxford St, London between 12.45pm and 13.45 on Wed 23rd June. They will be signing pre-release copies of the videos which will be available to buy. Any questions pls contact me at rbridgwood@contender.ltd.uk -Contender"
  • Note: While Splarka is on vacation, this page probably won't be updated much for the next few weeks. However, he will try to keep his Lexx Links updated with latest news.

    [6/10/1999]
  • Lexx in the US of A? Lets see the latest rumors: http://www.dailyscifi.com/news/1545.html.
"Showtime, which has been one of the faster, upcoming rivals to HBO, has been expanding its science-fiction programming in the last few years to the point where it's been capable of sustaining blocks of sci-fi-related programming like sci-Friday. The new channel, called Showtime Beyond, will be based mostly off Showtime-owned properties, like Stargate: SG-1 and Total Recall: 2070. Presumably, shows like Outer Limits, The Hunger, and Dead Man's Gun will follow. Most intriguing, though, will be the new SF shows that Showtime bough earlier this year, including a new Alien Legion series (based off the old Epic/Marvel comic) and Lexx, an interesting space opera based in a galaxy far, far away..."

    [5/8/1999]
  • Channel5 [UK] was slated to begin Lexx series 2 on May 21st, 1999 with Mantrid, but multiple sources say it may now begin on May 14th, at 10:50pm GMT.

  • The Lexx Billbored and Chat room (and IRC server) has moved again! It is now here: http://bored.lexx.com/~Lexx/. The chat room has moved to bored.lexx.com port 7000. (Everything is the same except the IP/name. See my IRC #lexx help page.) Note: If your ISP can't resolve 'bored.lexx.com' yet, replace it temporarily with '24.222.14.183'

    [3/20/1999]
  • The Lexx Billbored and Chat room (and IRC server) will be down for 2 or 3 days, between Saturday March 20th and Tuesday March 23rd, 1999, while it moves to a new physical location. It will also get a change of address soon. While its down, the backup channel is on FEFnet (Fefnet connect info).
  • C5 will apparently start airing Lexx series 2 on May 21st (?).

    [3/17/1999]

    [3/9/1999]

    [1/26/1999]
  • Ellen Dubin's episode of Highlander: The Raven will air in Syndication in the US and Canada the weeks of February 1st-13th, 1999 (check your local listings, or visit the Raven web site zip code listings at www.rysher.com). Dubin plays an immortal, and she and Amanda (Elizabeth Gracen) perform the first 2 woman broadsword duel on the franchise. ALSO... this episode will air in Ontario on CHWI, CKVR, CKNX, CFPL, and CHRO on the following days: Wednesday, Feb 3rd, 1999 @ 10pm; Friday Feb 5th, 1999 @ 8pm. It may also air in the UK on Sci-Fi-Europe, but the SciFi.com web site did not provide useful information for determining when.

    [1/24/1999]
  • Splarka has created a sort of Calender of Events for upcoming informal Lexx conventions and fan parties. See: Lexxicons.
  • Michael McManus's Forever Knight episode "For I Have Sinned" (in which he plays a priest) will air on the Canadian cable channel Showcase on Tuesday, February 2nd, 1999.

    [1/19/1999]
  • The Lexx billbored and chat has a new IP! Its now at http://24.222.14.179:8080/~lexx/ but the new IP will be working for http://www.punch.ns.ca:8080/~lexx/ after the web's nameservers refresh (you should use the latter as a bookmark as soon as it starts working on your ISP, in a few hours/days). The IRC server instructions can be found at my IRC help page.

    [1/14/1999]
  • Arena (Australian Pay-TV channel) will start repeating the Lexx movies on Jan 22nd 1999... Fridays at 8:30pm. UNCONFIRMED: Arena TV will start airing the NEW 20 Lexx episodes (Lexx series 2) starting April 25th 1999, Sundays at 9:30pm!
  • The UK video rights to Lexx have been sold to a company called Contender, who appear very excited about Lexx, and plan to release the videos the same time they repeat on Channel5 (sometime in spring or early summer of 1999, before C5's right to rebroadcast the movies ends in June 1999).

    [1/4/1999]
  • Norway: NRK (the main Norwegian broadcasting corporation) has bought Lexx, and it is scheduled to start airing in July '99.
  • Ontario, Canada: Lexx 1.0 "I Worship His Shadow" [not split in half this time] will air on the formerly South West Ontario Telivision Inc broadcast and channels CHWI, CKVR, CKNX, CFPL, and CHRO (now apparently owned by CHUM?), Sunday, January 10th, 1999 at 9pm EST... probably followed weekly by the other 3 TV movies (?).

    [12/25/1998]
  • TV4 in New Zealand will apparently be repeating the Lexx movies on Tuesday's starting January 5th, 1999 at 8:30pm.
  • HBO Brazil's channel Cinnemax will air the Lexx movies four nights in a row starting Tuesday, January 12, 1999 at 12:30am or 1am in the morning (Monday night), until the 15th.

    [12/19/1998]
  • UK Crawlers: Anyone going to the UK Pub Crawl in Nottingham should contact erith: erith_@hotmail.com for important hotel information (unless you have made your own accomidations). Also, AliBabette is having email server problems.

    [12/18/1998]

  • Forever Knight alerts: Michael McManus's Forever Knight episode "For I Have Sinned" (in which he plays a priest) will air on the US Sci-Fi Channel on January 11th, 1999 at 10amEST. Ellen Dubin's Forever Knight episode "False Witness" (in which she plays a dominatrix) will air on the US Sci-Fi Channel on January 15 at 10amEST.

    [12/8/1998]
  • Channel-5, UK, will probably not repeat the Lexx movies until just before it starts the second series, sometime in the Summer 1999. It had originally planned to air them before the end of December 1998.
  • The Lexx movies are apparently airing on the French satellite channel 13eme Rue (13th Street, a Universal Studios channel) as of December 4th, 1998. This is most likely because of this: The Sci-Fi Channel began airing in France on Nov. 14 with a four-hour, Friday night programming block on 13eme Rue: La Chaine de l'Action et du Suspense (13th Street: The Action and Suspense Channel). (SciWire, issue 60, 2-Dec-97)

    [12/1/1998]
  • The new Lexx website, as well as the Billbored and Chat, will open December 11th. This means the official unofficial chat on FEFnet will move for the 5th time. Keep an eye on my Irc Starter Page for the current location of the chat.
  • The UK Supreme Lexxian Pubcrawl date has been finalized for January 15th to 17th, 1999.
  • Ellen Dubin movie: "Tammy and the T-Rex" 12/13/98 11:00amEST USA.

    [11/27/1998]
  • Unconfirmed: The second Lexx series is rumored to start airing in Russia starting December 3rd 1998 on TV6 (Thursdays at 21:25 and Fridays at 11:10 Moscow time), beginning with Mantrid. The first 4 movies had been showing on the same station/timeslot the previous weeks.
  • Lexx 1.0 is no longer on the Showtimeonline Top 10 list (got pushed out by Air Force 1 and a Stargate SG-1 episode), its 15 minutes of fame has expired, for now...

    [11/23/1998]
  • Tales From A Parallel Universe: I Worship His Shadow (aka, Lexx 1.0) got to the #10 position at Showtimeonline's Top 10 List. That means, I think, for a while it was the #10 most popular movie on all the Showtime networks [SHO, SHO2, SHO3, TMC, TMC2, EXTR, and FLIX] for this day or week, as voted by the registered members at showtimeonline.com (there are hundreds of movies in the voting list that it beat!). UPDATE: If you are outside the US, you can click here for a .txt file of the list of movies.

    [11/16/1998]
  • Ellen Dubin's episode of Pacific Blue ('Thrill Week') will be airing on the cable channel USA on Sunday, November 29th, at 8pmEST, and on Saturday, December 5th, at 11amEST.
  • The first new episode of Lexx in 2 years, Mantrid (Lexx 2.1) will be airing in 24 days in Canada on the cable channel SPACE. OPINION: 'It is a good episode, with some amazing and some bad qualities. You are allowed to dislike this episode a little bit and still be a total Lexx fanatic (I actually loved it..., but I know not everyone will), but do not miss it, as it [apparently] sets up the season overplot.'
  • Forever Knight alerts: Ellen Dubin in "Trophy Girl" Tuesday, November 24th, 1pmEST. Michael McManus in "For I Have Sinned" Tuesday December 30th, 1pmEST.

    [11/1/1998]
  • The Due South episode featuring Ellen Dubin ('Red, White, or Blue') is airing on TNT on Tuesday, November 3rd, at 4pmEST.

    [10/23/1998]
  • Lexx returns to Canada! SPACE: The Imagination Station, will be showing the Lexx movies Fridays (part 1) and Mondays (part 2) in November starting the 13th. This will (apparently) lead in to the series starting (On Dec 11th) the week after Gigashadow airs. Probably, with the hour long episodes in series 2, the Monday timeslot will be the repeat of the episode aired 3 days before. See the The Heretic's Guide to Lexx for details.
  • Also see the The Heretic's Guide to Lexx for USA Air dates, on TMC, TMC2, and EXTR, for November.
  • The UK Supreme Lexxian Pubcrawl will probably be on either the second or third weekend of January 1999, starting on the Friday.

    [10/5/1998]
  • Alibabette and erith are now making hotel inquiries for the Supreme Lexxian Pubcrawl. Go to that web site for signup, contact info, and news.

    [10/1/1998]
  • The Lexx movies will start airing on TV6 (Moscow, airs over the former USSR) on October 8th, and will show every Thursday at 21:25 (MSK). Information from Den, a fan in Russia.

    [9/24/1998]
  • The second Lexx series (being filmed this moment in Halifax) will make its exclusive Canadian debut on the cable channel SPACE: The Imagination Station on December 11th 1998! (The first series, the 4 movies in 8x1 hour episodes, will apparently air again in October 1998 on SPACE). Unfortunatly, this means it will not be showing anytime soon on CityTV or any other broadcast channel. See the Space Speakers Corner (General Discussion/"Lexx on City tv?", post by Carlin (who recommends non-SPACEed Lexx fans should email programn@citytv.com and ask for it on City too)).

    [9/23/1998]
  • "US Fans: How would YOU like to help the cause? Yes, you, the one with the pocket protector and pile of Mountain Dew cans on your monitor (geez, thats me). You can help the second series by telling the US Scifi Channel that we WANT to see the new Lexx series in the United States. Just send a letter to program@www.scifi.com saying "Lexx is MORE!". Mention that you would really like to see this original and ground breaking science fiction on their channel. (UK fans, you can help on your side too by emailing mail@uk.scifi.com and praising them on their airing of Lexx and asking for lots of repeats!)" -Splarka
  • Lexx 4.0 "Giga Shadow" (and maybe more?) apparently aired on Cinnemax in South America, at least in Chile and Argentina. This brings the continent count up to 5.

    [9/22/1998]
  • The Lexx "Billbored and Chat" (formerly http://billbored.lexx.com/) and IRC server now seem (almost) officially dead. The new Lexx Chat on the Official Lexx Site (under Cantos 4) is functional but not IRC compatible. Salter New Media may set up a new posting board and/or IRC server, but until then the official unoffical Lexx chat is on FEFnet #lexx (Go to my IRC starter page for directions). As for posting, if worse comes to worse we might start an email list (like lexx@coollist.com) or crude posting board somewhere... (yeah, I know, word for word from my links page.. too lazy to rephrase it.)
  • TMC, TMC2, and Showtime Extreme (each a US cable channels) are showing some of the Lexx movies during the end of September, and throughout October.

    [9/19/1998]
  • The Lexx movies will be airing soon in Russia on Moscow TV channel TV6. They may also have bought the series. Also, the videos are available from Russian video store Videoservice. Info courtesy of Den. :)
  • Ellen Dubin will have a part on an upcoming episode of Highlander: The Raven, the new spinoff series from Highlander: The Series. She is also on the 5th episode of First Wave which might be showing October 7th on SPACE (Canada), and the series will be starting on C5 (UK) soon....

    [9/17/1998]
  • Sidenote: It seems the second Lexx series will première between January 1999 and June 1999 in most other countries (the US is still a big unknown, all depends on when/if/who Salter sells it to). It is also interesting to note that, except for Arena14 in Australia, all the channels that will be showing the second series for the first time were not the ones that showed the movies the first time: CityTV->Space, C5->SciFiUK, VOX->RTL2, Filmnet->TV4/DR, TMC->?.

    [9/16/1998]
  • Achtung: The Lexx Billbored and Chat will be relocating soon from barak.com to Salter's computers (and will be under different software), to make room for a new hyperspace bypass. The posts and user data base may have to be trashed and started from scratch, and the chat software "seems to work fine" but might no longer be compatible with IRC like the current one. It is possible Salter will set up another IRC server to replace billbored.lexx.com:7000. If the lexx.com chat room goes down suddenly, you can find the backup #lexx on FEFnet (which can be reached with /server irc.fef.net or "random FEFnet server" in your IRC client). I probably will update the IRC Starter Page soon, to reflect the upcoming changes. Please do not panic, everything is under control... (aiiieeeee!!). More to come....

    [9/13/1998]
  • Unknown this early, but it appears the Scifi Channel in the UK is airing the US or Canadian versions (or perhaps a new version) of Lexx, instead of the Channel5 Versions (which were strangely edited for no noticable purpose). More to come....

    [9/10/1998]
  • Arena 14 (Australia) has purchased the second Lexx series (it has aired the four movies 3 times so far in 1998). Air dates TBA.

    [9/8/1998]
  • The new Scifi series "First Wave." is debuting on SPACE: The Imagination Station (Canada, Chum City) tomorrow (Wednesday, September 9th). Ellen Dubin has a part in the 5th episode. Unknown when/where/if it will show in the US (gee, that sounds familiar).

    [9/6/1998]
  • The "Making of Lexx" just aired in the UK today. Comparing notes with a Brit we found that they got the Canadian/CityTV version and not the VOX version, which makes sense since the one aired on VOX was in German.... The Canadian version is more Canada-oriented. It has interviews with the writers (who are Canadian), and featured more Canadian cast/crew than German. The German version apparently was more focused on the German actors and crew (Rutger Hauer, Eva Habermann, Robert Sigl)... but don't quote me on that :). You can view screen grabs from the German version at the Lexx Image Archive.

    [8/28/1998]
  • The Lexx Movies will air again on Arena14 (Australia cable channel) at noon everyday from September 1st (part 1.0) through 4th (part 4.0). [confirmed from Softcom TV listings].

    [8/24/1998]
  • Its been confirmed: Danmarks Radio (Denmark) has bought the second Lexx series and will probably start airing new episodes in early 1999, and maybe the Movies sometime in late 1998.

    [8/21/1998]
  • Eating Pattern (Lexx 3.0) will be showing on The Movie Channel again on September 30th at 6:25amEST, so set your VCRs. Also, Giga Shadow (Lexx 4.0) will air on Showtime Extreme on September 26th and 29th (2 or 3 times those dates). Hopefully, there will be more showings in October of both.

    [8/20/1998]
  • Forever Knight alerts: Michael McManus's Forever Knight episode "For I Have Sinned" (in which he plays a priest) will air on the US Sci-Fi Channel on Wednesday, September 2nd at 1pm EST. Ellen Dubin's Forever Knight episode "False Witness" (in which she plays a dominatrix) will air on the US Sci-Fi Channel on Wednesday, September 9th at 1pmEST. If you would like to get some screen captures of this, you can go to the Sci-fi channel website game 'Caption This' (at the listed times) and "save as" the images (right click) to your hard drive. Caption this is a 'live' feed of the Scifi Channel, updated every few seconds.

    [8/18/1998]
  • LEXX Movies Return to the United Kingdom! Starting September 6th at 21.30 GDT, Lexx will begin its debut on Scifi-UK, starting with 'The Making of Lexx', and the 4 original movies will air in 1 hour slices every Sunday starting September 13th. See the Heretic's Guide to Lexx or the Scifi Channel website (scheduelbot) for all air dates.

    [8/17/1998]
  • Two Ellen Dubin movies airing this week in the US: "Never Too Late" 08/18/98 5pmEST HBO2 and 08/20/98 2:15pmEST HBO3. "Tammy and the T-Rex" 08/20/98 3:00pmEST USA and 08/22/98 (8/23 morning) 1:00amEST USA.

    [8/15/1998]
  • Denzo has made an MPG video file of the preview/trailer for 1.0 "I Worship His Shadow" (83 seconds - 160x120 - 3.3 megs) as it appeared on some of the Paramount Home Video rentals. You can download it here for a limited time.

    [8/12/1998]
  • The UK Sci-fi Channel (apparently) will begin airing the second Lexx series January 1999 there.

    [8/8/1998]
  • Just confirmed: TV4 (Sweden - TV4AB), one of the 3 ground broadcast channels in Sweden, has bought 28 episodes of Lexx! (I assume this means the second series and perhaps the 4 movies in 2 parters?). It is unclear when it will air though.

    [7/17/1998]
  • Showtime Extreme will be showing the first 2 Lexx movies during the month of August (but not the 3rd and 4th parts for some reason). There will be many showings, 3 or 6 times a day. Showtime Extreme (EXTR) is a new movie channel that started last March, and is probably not widely available. The only place I know of that carries it is USSB on the DSS, channel 925 (although it may be available on your local cable?). Check the Heretic's Guide to Lexx or ShowtimeOnline for air dates.

    [7/13/1998]
  • The Salter Street Lexx Page was recently updated (ok.. 3 weeks or so ago...), but it includes a bigger list of broadcasters the second series is presold to. "In Canada, CHUM/City TV is the broadcast partner. Other broadcasters who have pre-bought the second series include RTL2 (Germany), Channel5 (U.K.), Canal Plus(France), Sci Fi Channel Europe, Treizieme Rue(France), TVBA4(Sweden), Danmarks Radio(Denmark), IBC Thailand, TV3 Malasyia and TCS Singapore."

    [7/6/1998]
  • The release date of the 'LEXX 1.0' English storybook, ISBN #0752224239; by Paul Donovan (will apparently be chuck full of delicious backstory about the Divine Order, Brunnen-G, and Insects) has been changed from August 1998 to May 1999 at www.bookpages.co.uk.

    [7/3/1998]
  • Lexx 1.0 (US Title: "Tales from a Parallel Universe: I Worship His Shadow") Just aired on The Movie Channel (Viacom) today for the first time in the US since last August. Lexx 2.0 "Tales from a Parallel Universe: Supernova" will air in 3 weeks. (See The Heretic's Guide to Lexx for all known air dates.)

    [6/23/1998]
  • The Lexx Chat (also on IRC billbored.lexx.com:7000) has been repaired. The Java now works most of the time, and the limit of users is much higher.

    [6/21/1998]
  • Lexx 1.0 "I Worship His Shadow" and 2.0 "Supernova" will be airing on The Movie Channel (US) in July 1998! 1.0: 07/03/98, 10:00AM EDT and 07/29/98, 9:00PM EDT. 2.0: 07/25/98, 12:15PM EDT and 07/29/98, 7:20PM EDT.
  • The 'official' Russian video release was dubbed from the UK version aparently.. and did not have a speaking Bugbomb. The 'unofficial' dubbed English pirated versions, that were available in limited quantity in Moscow, were actually copies of the US version, so did have a speaking Bugbomb.

    [6/7/1998]
  • JUST VERIFIED: In the UK version of 1.0, Bug Bomb did NOT speak, which makes the whole first half very confusing. I typed up what Bugbomb says in our version, and I also have a short .wav file of him speaking some of it. (And, I recently found out that he does not speak in the German video release either, although he does on the VOX broadcasts.)

    [6/5/1998]
  • The Lexx Billbored javachat seems to still be malfunctioning. It keeps returning a 'Lexx, no such nick/channel'. You can talk to #lexx in it by typing: /msg #lexx yourmessage, or, you can keep relogging in until you get a 'nickname in use' error, and have to renick (/nick yournewnick), then it works, for some reason.
  • Lexx on VOX in 2 days!!

    [6/1/1998]
  • Aussie and Kiwi Lexx fans, for a limited time (or extended limited time if demand is high?), can order the Lexx Soundtrack CD from Gargoyle for "maximum of $30 Aus" (plus postage). These are US import CD's, under the title "Tales from a Parallel Universe: Music from the Original Sci-Fi Movie Seres", but is identical to the Canadian and UK 'Lexx Soundtrack'. Email him at gargoyle@m140.aone.net.au for more details, and to reserve your copy.

    [5/25/1998]

    [5/8/1998]
  • [unconfirmed]: Channel 5 (UK, the channel that showed the Lexx movies there) will not start showing the Lexx series 2 (Starting with 'Mantrid') until Mid 1999. Unknown if, but assumed that the UK Sci-Fi Channel will start the second series in October 98.

    [5/6/1998]
  • Reports that the second Lexx series has been sold in New Zealand and Australia are still unconfirmed, but looks good :).

    [5/5/1998]
  • The Lexx Billbored IRC/Java chat server changed the IRC name of the English Chat forum from #TheLexxUniverse to #Lexx (I changed the 5/3/98 news item to reflect this). We are still undecided about moving to the 'offical' IRC server permanently yet, as this will mean abandoning FEFnet (and using it for emergency/backup purposes), but if the server turns out to be stable (has been excellent last 3 days) then we will all chat there. Currently, a lot of the IRC regulars switch back and forth or do both at once.

    [5/4/1998]
  • (From German newspaper "Bild am Sonntag", info provided by Black Lady) Eva Habermann (22) married Hans-Ullrich Hauenstein (38, her tennis trainer) on Sylt (German island). Honeymoon planned for October in Bora Bora.
  • (also from Black Lady :>) RTL will show the film "Die Friseuse und der Millionär" on May 10th at 20:15 CET. "Story: It's about a woman (Eva) who is looking for a rich man - but there is a little boy who thinks that she is the right one for his father." It might be possible for online fans without RTL access to get some screen images from http://www.tvtoday.de/ (on the Live Internet TV & Videotext page) when it is being shown on RTL.

    [5/3/1998]
  • The Lexx Billbored and Chat has changed drastically. It has moved to its own machine, gotten a software upgrade, and several other new features (and drastic changes). The first thing you'll notice is the old login URL is no longer active. The new one is http://billbored.lexx.com/~2/ if you bookmarked it, or there is a link to it from the lexx.com site. The 'You have X new messages' link does not display a list of new messages, instead it changes the Universe list to display only new messages (click on the [+] by 'The Lexx Universe' for example.). Now, the best upgrade is to the javachat. Mojo set up an IRC server and has a java app chat program that allows IRC users to interact with javachat users, there. So, if you go to IRC server billbored.lexx.com port 7000 you will be able to chat on #Lexx with whoever is in that room on the Billbored ("/server billbored.lexx.com 7000" from your IRC client, then "/join #Lexx".). The only drawback is the Javachat had to move from Javascript to Java app, so it no longer works on Netscape or MSIE 3.0 or less, or with 16 bit systems (But, I consider this a small sacrafice for the IRC/Java interaction). This lexx.com IRC server also allows you to creat custom channels via IRC (as normal) and also via Java. NOTE: This does not mean we (you know who you are) have all left #lexx on Fefnet yet.. but, if this server proves stable enough to use, we might just migrate over there to stay (this would mean one place for every lexxian to chat). Please post any problems, complaints, bad links, etc to the Billbored, addressed to mojo or sysadmin. I will post more as situations develop.
  • The second Lexx series (first 20x1 hour episodes) will air on both the UK feed of the Sci-Fi channel, and Channel 5 (in the UK).

    [4/23/1998]
  • Rumor: Eva Habermann married!!?? (more to come...?)

    [4/16/1998]
  • Space: The Imagination Station (Canada) has Lexx tentatively schedueled to rebroadcast in August of 1998.
  • Habermann in UK TV: "Star Command", starring (among others) Eva Habermann, will be showing on the UK Sci-Fi Channel (not the US) several times in the next 2 months: April 19th 22:30 and May 7th 22:00 (on both Satellite and Cable) and also April 20th 12:00 and May 10th 12:00 (just Cable). Check the Sci Fi Channel website for more info and more up to date airtimes.

    [4/15/1998]
  • Forever Knight reminder: Ellen Dubin in ep #107 on the US Sci-Fi channel, on Wednesday, April the 22th (see the 3/13/98 newsitem, below, for more details).
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MICHAEL MCMANUS!!

    [4/12/1998]
  • #darkzone on EFnet dead... email Splarka or Denzo for new channel name.
  • The Heretic's Guide to Lexx is now up and running, though not complete (also has a Mirror site). If you have any info concerning air times (corrections/additions) email us.

    [4/11/1998]
  • Oops... those were 1997 UK rebroadcasts for the UK.. no 1998 yet :(
  • New Zealand air dates for the Lexx movies: 31st Mar: 1.0, 7th Apr: 2.0, 14th Apr: 3.0, 21st(?) of Apr: 4.0 (1997).

    [4/10/1998]
  • Forever Knight reminder: McManus in ep #103 on the US Sci-Fi channel, on Tuesday, April the 14th (see the [3/13/1998] newsitem, below, for more details). Another reminder in about a week, for Ellen's FK appearance.
  • The Heritic's Guide to Lexx, will be opened Sunday, April 12th, (URL to be announced then, as we are still arguing over where to put it!).

    [4/2/1998]
  • Filming for 'Mantrid' (first 1 hour episode for second Lexx series) started yesterday in Babelsberg.
  • Lexx now showing in New Zealand! (as of March 30th).

    [3/30/1998]
  • Lexx is showing on Pay-TV in Australia! "It airs weeknights on Arena (channel 14 of Foxtel) at 8:30pm. Its very good !!!" -kind Australian viewer :). Episode 1 and 2 were shown on the 24th and 25th of March, and episodess 3 and 4 will show on March 31st and April 1st (8:30 PM on CH14 Arena).

    [3/22/1998]
  • Ellen Dubin has a small part in "Never Too Late", playing on HBO this Friday the 27th of March (11:45am Eastern/Pacific).

    [3/20/1998]
  • #lexx on EFnet is no longer the 'official' channel where you can find most of the Lexx fans (from lexx.com mostly, we moved to IRC as refugees from the javascript chat). We are now situated in EFnet #DarkZone. This does not mean #lexx is dead forever, but that we are getting away from it for a while. My recommendation is to check the IRC Starter Page for the current location of where we can be found.
  • You can read the log of the chat with Brian Downey here (there is also a text version). It is the raw log right now, hopefully we will get around to formatting it like the Bean Salad log.
  • The first big batch of Beans, Sub-Beans, Assistant Beans, and actors is off to Berlin, Germany (Babelsberg) tomorrow (21st of March), along with some props, costumes, and equipment (blackpacks, Thodin's miniskirt, etc). They will film for 6-10 weeks (?) before returning to Halifax (Electropolis).

    [3/18/1998]
  • The chat will NOT take place in #lexx, but in #darkzone on Efnet.
  • Brian Downey Chat! The 'Brain Salad' (or Brian Salad) will take place on Thursday, March 19th at around 9pm Atlantic (5pm Pacific, 6pm Mountain, 7pm Central, 8pm Eastern, 9pm Atlantic, 1am GMT, 2am Germany/Scandanavia). Mamabear will be typing for Downey, as he is, quote "...waaaaaaay too slow." This event will be recorded and hilights posted somewhere.. :)

    [3/13/1998]
  • "Mamabear Makes Rash Promise!" Our patron saint of honeycombs says it might be possible to get Brian Downey to make an appearance in IRC for a "Brian Salad", sometime late next week (like the 18th to the 21th?) with a little luck. We should find out hopefully at least a day in advance what date and time of evening it will occur, if in fact it will. Stay tuned to this page for more info.....
  • Forever Knight alerts: Michael McManus's Forever Knight episode "For I Have Sinned" (in which he plays a priest) will air on the US Sci-Fi Channel on Tuesday, April 14th 6pm and 10pm PST (9pm/1am EST). Ellen Dubin's Forever Knight episode "False Witness" (in which she plays a dominatrix) will air on the US Sci-Fi Channel on Wednesday, April 22th 6pm and 10pm PST (9pm/1am EST). If you would like to get some screen captures of this, you can go to the Sci-fi channel website game 'Caption This' (at the listed times) and "save as" the images (right click) to your hard drive. Caption this is a 'live' feed of the Scifi Channel, updated every few seconds.

    [3/9/1998]
  • Brian Downey (Tweedle) was on Millennium ("Owls") on March 6th, and will be again on March 13th ("Roosters").
  • Someone tried to rearrange Michael McManus's face outside a bar in Winnipeg. He was suckerpunched in the jaw, but is ok and reports it is just sore. (am I becoming the 'Daily Star'? :)

    [2/21/1998]
  • QUOTE from above: "...SFX mag in England just released a 'Reader's Poll' ; now, I know not to put much stock in these things, but [Lexx] came in 5th (behind B5, DS9, X-Files & something else, but ahead of Millenium, STVoyager, Space Above & Beyond, and a whole pile of other stuff)". (awaiting confirmation...)
  • 1.0 (and 2.0) should now be available at most Canadian Blockbuster stores.

    [2/14/1998]
  • More Mantrid, Wist, and general second Lexx Series news (such as when and where, and how much, and what time of day) can be gotten from SPACEcast and TVZone (and also from Sci-fi Channel).

    [2/8/1998]
  • We have a date of Aug 1998 for the UK release of the first Lexx book (1.0/Donovan). Click here and search for "Lexx". 80,000 words, and lots of 'Backstory'!

    [2/7/1998]
  • UK VIDEO NEWS (from a very nice UK correspondent, Penni): "Whilst PNE Video retains the UK video rights, we are yet to set a firm release date for the initial four movie episodes. We are looking to build on and develop the cult that LEXX will undoubtedly become and therefore, we are taking a long term view with this project. News of release dates will be announced via the media including our sister magazine SFX. However I can tell you that as and when LEXX does appear on video, the versions will be slightly different to those broadcast on Channel 5 and there will be at least an additional 10 minutes of unbroadcast exclusive behind the scenes footage."
  • Issue 42 (Feb 98) of Dreamwatch magazine has an article about lexx. (old news, but I had forgotten about it...)
  • Eating Pattern will be released on Paramount video March 24, 1998 (US).

    [2/2/1998]
  • There is a trailer for 3.0 on the US home video of Event Horizon (1.0 was on The Saint, anyone see the 2.0?). Eating Pattern will apparently be available March 1998! (thaks Oni_Chuck, for this info)

    [1/25/1998]
  • VOX (Germany) aparently decided definetly to not pick up the second series. Unknown if VOX still has rights or desire to show 1-4 again.
  • Channel 5 (UK) picked up the second series, which is exceptionally good news. They might be tempted to repeat the movies easier now...?

    [1/23/1998]
  • Lefty lives! He popped on last night to announce (mumble) that the next Bean Salad will take place 'in a few weeks'. Hopefully before they all take off to Babelsberg.
  • Also: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTGER HAUER! :)

    [1/19/1998]
  • The grand opening party of Electropolis, the new soundstage in Halifax where Lexx will be filmed, occured on Saturday the 17th. Awating details from someone who attended....
  • Mention of alt.tv.lexx caused me to take a peek, and It looks like your basic new fan newsgroup. I don't recommend posting there unless you are familiar with Usenet first, as there are people/programs that do nothing but cruise newsgroups and mass-extract email addresses to send spam to, and if you post there with your real email, you will get spammed. Unless something changes, I will probably not read/post here (I did my usenet stint, and got over it).

    [1/16/1998]
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EVA HABERMANN!!
  • City-TV aparently will show the second half of 1.0 tonight (Friday) at 11pm EST. (?)

    [1/12/1998]
  • City-TV (Canada, same owners as SPACE) just showed the first hour (half) of 1.0, unannounced.
  • Vox will aparently be showing Lexx 1.0-4.0 again sometime in May of 1998 (??).
  • The second Lexx story book should be available in German soon (rumor states this one coveres 2.0-4.0).

    [1/1/1998]
  • Ellen Dubin's (Giggerota) second appearance on Forever Knight will be shown on the Sci-Fi Channel on Tuesday, February 17th at 6pm and 10pm PST (9pm/1am EST). episode info
  • The UK will get a video release sometime in 1998 (The US and Canada have had minor releases, as has Germany and Russia (and Japan?))
  • The US will definitly get the second series, in some form or another, after October 98. However, the target audience will be Europe and Canada.

    [old news]
  • No word yet on when or if TMC/Showtime (US), Channel5 (UK), or Filmnet (SE) will rebroadcast 1.0-4.0 anytime soon.
  • The Babylon 5 creator (JMS) recommends that you WATCH LEXX! (if it doesn't interfere with your B5 viewing scheduel) :)
  • Lexx 1.0 will start showing on the new Canadian cable channel SPACE on January 9th. Episodes 2 - 4 will follow weekly.
  • Lexx will go to series, idealy as a 3 year run, but with 22 1 hour episodes pretty much guaranteed. Filming starts in April in Babelsberg, with the 4 main cast coming back, and reports of Doreen Jacobi returning as Wist. Episodes will be ready for release in October 98, but each country's affiliate will decide when or if to show it.
