Stanly the Stunner
"Glad to be here, spreading my seed"

Brian meets Polly^, a local fan who attended chat, the next day.

Well, someone finally suckered one of Lexx's technologically illeterate lead actors into popping his face into the 'net to chat with some of us... of course the joke was on them as Brian's typing is, "wayyyyyyyy slow." So, without further delay, I give you the Brain/Brian Salad:   3/19/98

Brian, what was it like working on the X-Files set?
If I'd done it, I'm sure I would have liked it. However, did do Millenium.

How's filming going?
The crew was exactly what you'd expect, very lite.

There's a rumour buzzing about Eva [Habermann] leaving and a Xenia [Seeberg] joining... anything you're allowed to give away?
As we speak, I have lots of dirty laundry you can have.

Do you work with blue (green?) screens and if so is it difficult to work with or is it easy?
Green screen - hard to get a reaction from the screen.

Hello Brian. How much of you is Stan, and how much is acted?
There is no Brian - it's all acted.

Hi Brian!! Q: Do you like Stan?
Yes, but I wouldn't sleep with him. We're dating only casually now. I don't think it'll work.

Brian, do you have any other projects other than the lexx you are working on?
You mean in the 12 hours a day I might have off? Well there is that 16 year old chess game I'm still playing.

Hello Brian. Did you make any contributions to the manuscript during the filming of the four first episodes?
Small line changes, small camera changes, small cast changes, small clothing changes etc.

So Stan, tell us a abouy a yummy thing that happened on the set.. (if you have recovered :P)
I'm trying to think of something that WASN't yummy.

<Lex Gigeroff> Admit it, Tweedle, YOU'RE the yummiest thing we got...
Ever taken a cold shower in front of the camera?

What made you wanna have participate in Lexx, Stan? the script? the role itself?
The fact that Salter Street is simply the best film company in Canada and the exec producer Paul is one of the most creative guys on earth. He asks, I jump.

How did you get from the granite planet to being on lexx? (where did you start your career?)
From blues bands to socially relevant stage plays. I was a bass guitar and harp player. Try doing that with only one arm.

Brian, do you think the scripts of the new lexx tv show can uphold the high standards of the movies especially now with the cluster, and his Shadow gone?
We get better all the time. In the Dark Zone, you can't go back.

Just up and down?
    lol. No, that requires luck.

So what will you and your amazing crew do now?
Try to stay out of trouble. It won't work.

<Lex Gigeroff> Hey Stunner - wanna come to the Villa Blau Engel with me next month?
lol - Can we stay away?

Seen any cool movies latly Stunner?
    Austin Powers.

Are you going to do any other shows (other than Lexx)? Can we see you anywhere else?
Reruns of Millenium and Loyal Opposition. I'm contracted to the end of the year 3000.

Brian, what was the best bit...the most fulfilling and fun?
The most fun was working with so many great actors and crew.

Is Stan ever going to change out of that 4th class security guard uniform?
Is he ever going to clean it?
Oh god, I hope. You have NO idea how tight that is in the crotch.

Brian, what character from any other movie, series, book, or whatever else that has a plot, do you think is most like Stanley?
    Charlie Chaplin in Modern Times.

How come he can always find his hat? Wouldn't he have lost the damn hat by now?
    It's stapled to his head.

Ok, Brian...what ws it like to work with Doreen?
Doreen is gorgeous and sharp, especially when you hug her.

Do you see Stan as just a survivor (and a good one) or do you think he has some real hero in him?
Everyone has real hero in them. Stanley, however...

Stan Stan, only Stan... Have you read any of the new Lexx scripts? If you have, spill the details now or we will do things to your sub-ends..
    A) someon has my subends already. B) and yes, I've read the new scripts.
    BTW, it's not subends, it's Sub-N's (note: Sub-Nebulae mercenaries).

Brian - how do you cope with Stanley the Manly's Devastating Sexual Personality - or does it come naturally?
lol... Oh me oh my, it is suuuuuch a challenge to deal with the sexuality. It took me at least 30 seconds to get used t it.

Who thought of the shape for LEXX?
Attribute it to a big meal of corned beef and cabbage and a bad night's sleep.

Yeah, how much of lexx were filmed with "bluescreen".
None. It was all green screen, and about 40 to 50%.

Do you find it annoying or condescending when people refer to you as your character and not you the actor?
Neither. It's fun. I didn't say flattering, just fun. Not a cop out - an honest answer.

This has nothing to do with Lexx, but I'd like to know. Your fave films/music/books? (I need another pint...)
    Fave film: Zorba the Greek.
Fave music: just gimme de blues.
    Fave books: not the Bible.

Brian, did you ever think your career would take you to a show like the lexx?
Yyyyyeeesss... After all, we take the best and leave the rest. How's that?

Did you reject Stanley's geeky looking (!) clothing at first, or did you like them directly when you saw them?
They said "wear this". I did. Especially after seeing what Kai had to wear!

How would you describe Lexx.. (compared to other sci-fi for example...)?
    Not earth-bound.

Are you typing, mamabear?
    (yes)

Make him type..god, men are pathetic.
    Okay
    LOLOLOLOL

Is there anyway for someone in Halifax to get an autographed pict of you and/or cast?
    Yes

How?
    Salter Street office

Yah, Brian, if you could change anything about Lexx, what would it be?
    Why touch perfection.

What is Michael McManus really like? (you knew I was going to ask that sometime!)
Would it be a clue if I said we're best buddies?

Brian, what is your favorite brandy at the Shoe Shop?
    Louis the 13th.

What did you think of Lexx the first time you read the script?
Loved it. Still love it. Always will love it.

Stunner: Is there going to be any Offical Lexx www sites comming on the internet anytime soon, To my understanding www.lexx.com is truely 100% Offical so wondering if there may soon be a 100% Offical WWW Site soon.
    TS - can't answer.

How frustrating was it to stand in from of Ms. Habbermann naked (her, not you)?
Not frustrating - I'll tell you sometime about Rule #1.

Rule #1? Professionalism?
That, AND never have an affair with your leading lady.

When you did the scenes with Poetman, did you have somebody playing back Tim Curry's part or did you just have to wing it? If so, nice job.
Gee thanks - I'll take the second part .

Brian - did Salter buy you a first class ticket to Germany or coach?
    They buy coach. I whine.

Yes... will anyone in Germany have computer access and will they visit? :)
Don't know yet, but if you guys ask, we'll try to arrange somehting.

Okay - thanks for letting me into your home! Now lock your doors!!!
