Amador County Historic Railroad Foundation
The Amador County Historic Railroad Foundation, ACHRRF, was incorporated on January 11, 2006,
and is a nonprofit, IRS 501(c)(3) public charity organization.
Our mission is to preserve the rich Amador County
railroad heritage, and to educate the public of the
social, economical, and cultural significance the
railroads in the county played.

Our objectives are to acquire and restore as much
of the historic railroad tracks, equipment, and
structures as possible.
We plan to compile information, photos, stories,
and artifacts emphasizing the railroads of Amador
County, so we can teach the importance the rail-
roads made to the survival of the county and
townships of Amador.
We hope to establish a living railroad museum and
railroad park, an operating excursion and freight
railroad, and educational programs to honor and
celebrate our county railroads.
We want to share the rich railroad history of our
county with the general public and to encourage
this community, railroad history enthusiasts, and
people of all ages and races to participate in all
of the aspects of railroading the Foundation has
