Adding Mailboxes You should only be following these
directions after you have contacted Goldrush and arranged for a login/password
for a new e-mail box. IMPORTANT NOTE: You cannot dial into Goldrush with the login/password of an extra mailbox! This is probably the most common error we see here. You must use your existing login/password combination to dial in, and follow the directions below to configure a mail client (program) to access your new mailbox. At the risk of sounding redundant: if you are configuring your system to access an additional mailbox (not a whole new dial-up account), please DO NOT change any dialup settings. There are several ways to access more than
one mailbox on the same computer. Assuming that you already have an e-mail
client functioning on your system, you can reconfigure the settings each time
you want to access a different mailbox (not exactly convenient!), use an e-mail
client that supports multiple mailboxes, add copies of your existing e-mail
client, or add a new e-mail client. Outlook
Express is the best free e-mail client
we have used that is really designed for multiple accounts. If you'd like to give it a go, see: Pegasus Mail is another free client that can handle multiple accounts. Last we checked, the documentation costs about $40, so you're at the mercy of the help files to figure the thing out. Very powerful, though: Eudora Pro does well with multiple mailboxes: Installing a new client or re-installing an existing one is a
very simple way to access multiple accounts. Here's how I did it at home in Windows
95: For each new account, I created a folder in the root directory of a hard
drive. I then installed Eudora Light into each new folder that I created and
made a shortcut to the individual copies of eudora.exe. It was then
simply a matter of using the shortcut to access the client and then configuring
them for the individual accounts. (See the next paragraph.) Configuring the e-mail clients is pretty straight-forward. Use
the following as guidlines:
*An exception to this would be for virtual domain
users that have had us point a domain address to an extra mailbox. Example: you
own domain.com and you have set up a second mailbox with us called box2,
which you would like to receive mail addressed to sales@domain.com. Set
up the account name as box2, but make the reply to address sales@domain.com.
Please note that you must tell Goldrush to what boxes you wish what mail to be
delivered. Finally, here are links to several mail programs: Copyright ©
